We’re Hiring: Farm & Garden Operations Lead
Full-Time | Balsam Grove, NC (30 min from Brevard)
Do you love getting your hands in the dirt, caring for animals, and sharing the magic of farm life with others? Valley Bear Farms is looking for a Farm & Garden Operations Lead to help steward our gardens, greenhouse, animals, and landscaped spaces — and bring our farm experience to life for guests.
This role blends farming, animal care, education, and hospitality in a beautiful agritourism setting.
What You’ll Do
• Care for gardens, greenhouse, compost, and landscaped beds year-round
• Tend to chickens, goats, and other farm animals
• Start seedlings, manage planting & harvests
• Create seasonal farm-inspired gift baskets for guests
• Lead garden tours & occasional classes
• Support and guide farmhands & seasonal help
• Work closely with our Guest Experience team
You’re a Great Fit If You
• Have 3–5+ years of farm, garden, or animal care experience
• Love working outdoors and aren’t afraid of hard work
• Enjoy talking with guests and sharing what you know
• Are organized, dependable, and self-motivated
• Can work Saturdays (you’ll have mid-week days off)

We’re Hiring: Guest Experience Associate
Full-Time | Balsam Grove, NC (30 min from Brevard)
Do you love making people feel welcome, creating little “wow” moments, and working in a beautiful, nature-forward setting? Valley Bear Farms is looking for a Guest Experience Associate to be the friendly, guest-facing heartbeat of our property.
This role is all about hospitality, thoughtful details, and great vibes — from welcoming guests and answering questions to keeping our General Store and common areas looking their best.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Welcoming guests and helping them feel right at home
• Communicating with guests before, during, and after their stay
• Creating welcome baskets, VIP touches, and special moments
• Helping keep guest areas, the courtyard, and store tidy and inviting
• Supporting retail restocking and light property operations
• Assisting with events and special experiences

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
